Penrose Lodge is near Newquay, about two miles from Porth beach. It's a modern lodge, stands on its own. The main thing is the view. You get a full-length balcony at the front, all glass, so you just look straight out over the countryside to the sea. You can sit out there all day if you want.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor, the other is upstairs. It’s got a 5 Star rating. Everything is in good condition, it’s well looked after.
The stairs to the downstairs bedroom are a spiral staircase. They are quite narrow. Something to know if you've got big bags or if anyone has trouble with stairs.
There's a tennis court right outside the lodge. You can use it whenever.
For beaches, Porth and Watergate Bay are the closest, a few minutes in the car. Watergate Bay has some good places to eat. Newquay town centre is about ten minutes away. It's busy, lots of surf shops and places to eat.
If you're looking for things to do, the National Trust Cornwall page is useful for local walks and houses. The Cornwall Council country parks site has details on coastal paths.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a barbecue. No pets allowed.
