This is the cottage in Cubert. It’s called Churchtown Cottage because of the church right opposite. You can see it from the front door.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. That’s because it’s been renovated recently. It’s old though, so watch your head going in and on the way down the stairs. The ceilings are low there. It’s fine once you’re inside.
It’s got a wood burner in the fireplace, slate floors, stone walls. Outside there’s a covered bit for sitting, and a table on the patio. The garden is enclosed. There’s also an outdoor heated shower, which is handy for rinsing off sand.
You can bring one dog. There’s a field right by the cottage they can run in. The garden is secure.
In the village there’s a shop, a post office, a bakery, and a good fish and chip shop. The pub is about a mile away. It gets good reviews.
The coast is close. Crantock Beach, Holywell Bay, Polly Joke. They’re all a few minutes in the car. For surfing, Fistral in Newquay or Perranporth are about fifteen minutes drive.
Newquay is about five miles away. That’s where things like the zoo and the aquarium are. The Eden Project is about half an hour’s drive. So is the National Trust’s Trelissick. For walking, you’re near the South West Coast Path.
You’ve got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
