Churchtown Cottage

Churchtown Cottage is in Cubert. It's a row cottage right opposite the village church. You get the garden to yourselves, but you share a driveway access with the neighbours.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's been done up nicely but it's still old. The main thing to say is you have to watch your head. The doorway into the house is low. The ceiling at the top of the stairs is also low. Fine once you're in.

The owner's kept a lot of the old bits, like the stone walls and the slate floor in the kitchen. There's a wood burner in the fireplace. Outside, there's a covered bit and a patio with a table.

The village has the basics. There's a shop, a post office, a bakery with a cafe, and a really good fish and chip shop. The local pub is about a mile away, The Smugglers Den. It's got a good reputation for food.

You're well placed for beaches. Crantock and Holywell Bay are closest, just a few minutes in the car. Polly Joke is a bit further. For surfing, Fistral in Newquay or Perranporth are about a fifteen minute drive. There's an outdoor shower for rinsing off.

For days out, you've got all the Newquay stuff like the zoo and the aquarium. The Eden Project is about half an hour away. Good walking on the coast path.

In terms of what's here, it's got WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is on site.
