Chacewater is a maisonette in a small block of flats in Newquay, overlooking Fistral Beach. It’s up a hill. It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. The whole thing was redone a few years ago, so it’s clean and things work. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the view. The living room and main bedroom both face west over Fistral and the Atlantic. You can see the surfers and the sunset from there. There’s also a small balcony off the living room you can stand on.
You share a heated swimming pool with the other flats in the block. It’s open from Easter to October usually. Not massive, but fine for a splash. There’s a little front garden too, which is just a lawn.
Inside, the kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There’s a TV and wifi. Bedding and towels are included.
Fistral Beach itself is about a ten minute walk downhill. Coming back up is a proper hill, so you’ll feel it. There’s a path down. Newquay town centre is a couple of miles away for shops and restaurants.
Within half an hour’s drive you’ve got quite a lot. The South West Coast Path is all along there for walking. Truro is about half an hour inland if you need a city. The Eden Project is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
