The Vista is an apartment in a building on the Pentire headland in Newquay. The views are the main thing. You get a proper panorama from the living room and balcony over the beach, the golf course, and the Gannel estuary.
It's for four people. Two bedrooms, one kingsize with its own shower room, and a twin room. There's a second bathroom with a shower over the bath. The place has a 4 Star rating, so it's a bit nicer than standard holiday lets.
You get a lift up to it, which is on the third floor. The living space is all open plan. There's a kitchen at one end, then the dining and sitting area which opens onto the balcony. It's got everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi.
The balcony is a good size. You can sit out there with a coffee or in the evening. You can't really cook on it, but you can eat outside if you want.
Newquay town centre is a short walk down the hill for shops and places to eat. The closest beach is Fistral, which is about a ten minute walk. That's the surf beach. There are quieter ones around the headland too.
If you're driving, Padstow is about half an hour up the coast. The National Trust has a few sites around there. Going the other way, towards Perranporth, is good for coastal walks. Tintagel and Boscastle are a bit further, maybe 45 minutes to an hour.
Downsides: it's on a main road into Newquay, so you will hear traffic noise sometimes with the doors open. And being on the third floor, if the lift was out of order you'd have quite a few stairs.
