This is 42 Ocean 1. It’s a flat on the second floor of a modern block on Pentire in Newquay.
It sleeps four, has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You can bring up to two dogs. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the view. The living room opens onto a balcony that looks straight out over Fistral Beach. You can sit out there with a cup of tea. We leave some blankets for that.
Inside, it’s an open plan living area. It’s kept clean and tidy. You’ve got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. We leave a few basics like milk, coffee, and some biscuits for when you arrive. There are some board games and DVDs in case the weather turns.
You get one allocated parking space, which is handy. The building is shared, so you’ll have neighbours.
Location wise, you’re right on the headland. Fistral Beach is a five minute walk down the hill. It’s a proper surf beach. The coastal path goes right past the building if you want a walk.
Newquay town centre is about a 20 minute walk along the coast. It’s got all the shops and places you’d expect. For other things to do, the National Trust for Cornwall has good information on local walks and beaches. The Cornwall Council coastal access page is useful for path information.
Within half an hour’s drive you can get to places like Padstow or the Eden Project. Truro is about 30 minutes if you need a city.
Facilities are as listed. There’s wifi. It’s a seaside property, so expect a bit of sand.
