Location wise, it's very handy. Fistral Beach is about a five minute walk downhill. The town centre and the harbour are about ten minutes on foot. The golf course is literally next door.
If you walk the other way, you can get to the Gannel Estuary. It's good for birdwatching or a quieter stroll. Lusty Glaze beach and the adventure centre are also close by if you want to try coasteering or something similar.
There are a lot of places to eat nearby, from cafes to proper restaurants. You won't need to drive for a meal or a drink.
