Huckleberry
Huckleberry is a four-bedroom house on a quiet lane just outside Newquay. It sleeps seven and has two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's in good order and well-equipped.
You're about a ten-minute drive from Newquay town centre and the main beaches. The house itself is set back from the road, with its own driveway. The garden is fully enclosed and gets the sun most of the day. It has an outdoor shower, which is handy for rinsing off sand or wetsuits. There's also a hot tub. It's included in the price between April and November, but there's an extra charge during the winter months.
Inside, the layout is straightforward. The kitchen is open plan and leads to a separate living room. There are four bedrooms: two with king-size beds, and two with twins. One of the king rooms has a small ensuite shower. The mattresses are good quality. There's a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The facilities cover what you'd need: parking, fast WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if required. There's also an electric vehicle charger on the driveway.
Newquay has all the beaches and surf you'd expect. For a change of scene, Padstow is about half an hour's drive. The north coast path is accessible nearby if you want a walk. There's a well-regarded farm shop just up the lane for supplies.
