Poppy Cottage is in Crantock. It's a detached house, so no one next door. The garden is enclosed and private. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. The sofas are decent. There are TVs in most rooms, which is handy if you've got kids.
You can walk to Crantock beach from the house. It's a good, sandy beach. It's popular for surfing. The village has a shop and a couple of pubs. The Gannel Estuary is nice for a walk.
Newquay is about three miles away. That's where you'll find Fistral Beach for the surf shops and bigger supermarkets. If you want something different, the National Trust at Holywell Bay is a short drive away.
Further out, the Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a bit further, maybe 50 minutes. Both are good for a day out if the weather's mixed.
In terms of facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on the drive. No pets allowed.
For planning walks, the South West Coast Path site is useful. Visit Cornwall has general information about the area.
