So, this is 9 Glendorgal in Newquay. It's a modern terrace house on the old hotel grounds. It's got that reverse-level layout, which means the lounge and kitchen are upstairs to get the view. And the view is really the point. You look straight out over Porth Beach and the sea.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. They both have walk in showers, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. You get an enclosed garden off the main bedroom with a deck and furniture. The balcony off the lounge is good for a cuppa with that view.
The whole Glendorgal estate is on a private, gated headland. It's about 17 acres. You can walk straight down from the grounds onto Porth Beach. It's a sandy beach, very sheltered, considered one of the safer ones for swimming around here. From there you're straight onto the coastal path.
If you want something livelier, Lusty Glaze Beach is just along the coast. They've got an adventure centre there for surfing and coasteering. Fistral Beach, for the proper surfing, is a short drive away. Newquay town centre is close, five minutes in the car. All the shops and cafes are there.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed. There are other houses around, it's not completely isolated.
If you're looking for things to do, the National Trust Cornwall page is useful for walks and nearby houses. For the coastal path, South West Coast Path has all the maps.
