This is Driftwood. It's a one-bedroom cottage in Newquay, Cornwall, that sleeps two. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's quite smart and well finished.

The cottage is detached and sits in a quiet courtyard. It's about 50 yards from Porth beach. You can hear the sea. There's a pub right on the beachfront that serves food.

Inside, it's all open plan downstairs. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Upstairs is the bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The roof terrace is a good size with a BBQ. It gets the sun in the morning.

You can walk into Newquay town centre along the coastal path in about 20 minutes. It's a surfing town with several beaches. The nearest big supermarket is about a ten minute drive away.

If you want to explore, Padstow is about a 25 minute drive. The Camel Estuary trail there is flat and good for walking or cycling. Truro is half an hour away for shopping. The Eden Project is about 40 minutes. For walks or historic houses, the National Trust has several sites nearby.

Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, bedding, towels, parking for one car, and a washing machine. Sorry, no pets.
