Sunsets @ Spinnaker
Sunsets @ Spinnaker is a second-floor flat on the headland by Fistral Beach. The name's a bit on the nose, but the views really are that good, west over the sea.
It's a modern place, sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy for groups. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything's in good order.
You're up on the headland, so it's quieter than the town centre, but you can walk into Newquay in a few minutes. It's a busy town in summer. There's a bistro about 50 yards from the building if you don't want to cook.
The coastal path is right outside. You can be on Fistral Beach in a couple of minutes. At low tide, you can walk across the Gannel estuary to Crantock Beach, which is a lovely stretch of sand.
If you're surfing, the beach is right there. If you're not, there's plenty else. The National Trust's Trerice manor house is close. So is the Trenance Gardens and Zoo in Newquay. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about a 40-minute drive. Padstow is maybe half an hour north, depending on traffic.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You get a patio and there's parking on site. No pets, I'm afraid.
