The Haven
The Haven is a three-bedroom farmhouse we've owned for years. It's about 250 years old. You sleep six, there are two bathrooms, and it has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
It's in Trevemper, just outside Crantock. The house is attached to our small apartment, but you have your own entrance and the whole garden to yourselves. The garden is south-facing and looks out over farmland.
Crantock beach is about a mile and a half away. It's a good beach, with lifeguards in summer. You can walk down to it, or drive and park. The Gannel estuary is there too. There are a couple of pubs and tearooms in the village.
Newquay is ten minutes' drive. All the things you'd expect are there: shops, more beaches, places to eat.
For a day out, the Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive. National Trust Cornwall has their sites listed if you're looking for walks or gardens. The South West Coast Path is accessed from the National Trust car parks at Crantock.
In the house, there's a washing machine, TV, and a BBQ in the garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's parking on the gravel driveway. No dogs, sorry.
The stairs are typical for an old farmhouse, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner. Something to be aware of.
