Candles Cottage is in Cubert, which is a small village inland from Newquay. It's a detached stone cottage. You get a good sized lawned garden out the back that looks over fields.
It sleeps four people. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The living area is open plan.
The village shop and a pub are about a hundred yards away. The pub is called the Smugglers Den Inn. You can actually get to it through a gate at the bottom of the garden and walk across the field, which is handy. They do food.
For the beach, Holywell Bay is about a mile and a half away. It's a big sandy beach with dunes. It's known for the TV series Poldark. Good for surfing or just a walk.
Newquay is about three miles one way, and Perranporth is about three miles the other. Newquay has the zoo, the harbour, and all the surf shops. Perranporth has a huge beach and a bar right on the sand.
You're quite central here for getting around. The Eden Project, Padstow, St Ives, and Truro are all within a 30 minute drive. There's a family adventure park you can walk to from the cottage.
Facilities wise: there's off-road parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
