Trescowthick Barn
Trescowthick Barn is in Truthan, about two miles from the nearest pub, shop, and restaurant. It's a detached barn conversion. You'll be down a proper country lane, so it feels remote, but you're only a few miles from the coast.
It sleeps up to eleven people in five bedrooms. There are four bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. It's got a five star rating, it's very well-equipped. Steep internal stairs.
The building is Grade II listed and has been converted throughout. It's a substantial place, solidly built. The main living space is in what was the main threshing area, so it's a big, open room with high ceilings. There's a woodburning stove.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio area with a barbecue, and a lawn. Off-road parking for several cars, and an electric vehicle charger.
You're about three miles from some good beaches. Crantock and Holywell Bay are probably the closest. The Gannel Estuary is over that way too. Newquay is about four miles away for surfing, Fistral Beach, that sort of thing.
Other places within half an hour's drive: Padstow for the harbour, the Camel Trail for cycling. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are inland. National Trust places like Trerice are nearby.
It's a good base for a bigger group. Facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. Stairgate, cot, highchair available if you need them. Well behaved pets are welcome, up to three.
