Towan View Loft is my apartment above a surf shop in the middle of Newquay. It's on the second floor and has views out over the bay and the town.
It gets the four star rating, sleeps four and has two bedrooms and a bathroom. It’s centrally heated and it's open plan, so it’s one main living space. It’s not a huge place, but you can really pack in a lot of day if you’re that sort of group.
The location is the main thing. You’re right in the centre. Towan Beach is about 100 yards away. Fistral and Lusty Glaze are a decent walk or a very short drive. There’s a pub and a restaurant practically next door, and a shop a minute away. The noise level reflects the location – it can be lively, especially in summer.
The coastal path runs right past the town, so you can walk out of the door and be on it. For golf, there’s Newquay Golf Club.
In the wider area, you’ve got Padstow about a 30 minute drive north. The Camel Trail there is good for a flat bike ride. South is Watergate Bay, about five minutes by car. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within about a 40 minute drive.
Facilities wise: bedding and towels are included, there’s a washing machine, a cot if you need it, WiFi and a TV. There’s no parking with the apartment itself, but there are several pay and display car parks nearby. No pets sorry.
