Templeton

Templeton is in Mawgan Porth, on the north Cornish coast. It's a big, modern house that sleeps ten. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.

The place is mainly on one level, which is good for accessibility. A balcony wraps around the front with outdoor furniture. The kitchen, dining room, living room, and the main bedroom all look straight out at the sea. The view is completely uninterrupted.

There's a second living room at the back, a snug with a TV. One of the bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds, which works well for children.

Underneath the house there's a big storage room with a shower and a drying area. We keep some bodyboards and wetsuits down there for guests to use.

It's a short walk to the beach, about forty yards from the garden gate. There are steps down onto the sand. The beach faces west so you get the sunsets. It's dog-friendly all year. The RNLI lifeguards are there in the main season. The surf can be big. There's a stream at one end with rock pools and caves to explore.

The village has a few places to eat: a pub, a seafood restaurant, some cafes and takeways. It's quiet.

For facilities: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to three dogs.

Location wise, you're about halfway between Newquay and Padstow. The South West Coast Path runs past here. The local links for planning are National Trust Cornwall and Visit Cornwall.
