Templeton
Templeton is in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. It's our house, and we rent it out when we're not using it. It sleeps ten people. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms, so a good number for a big group.
The house is mostly on one level, which people seem to like. It's on a quiet half-acre plot. A balcony runs around it with a dining table and sun loungers.
The kitchen, dining room, main living room, and one bedroom all look straight out at the sea. You don't get a better view than that here. There's a second, smaller living room at the back with a TV, which is handy.
One of the bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds. It's good for kids. We keep bodyboards and a few wetsuits in the storage room under the house, which has a shower and a drying room too. Help yourself if they fit.
The beach is right there. You leave the garden, go down some steps, and you're on Mawgan Porth beach in less than a minute. It's a west-facing beach with cliffs, so it can be sheltered. The surf can get big. There's a stream at one end with rock pools and caves to explore. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year.
The village has a pub, a seafood place, cafes, and takeaways. Padstow is about a fifteen-minute drive one way, Newquay about fifteen minutes the other. The South West Coast Path runs past here if you want a walk.
For facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner, BBQ, parking, Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. We've put in an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to three dogs.
