This is Lodge 73, on Atlantic Bays Holiday Park near St Ervan. It's a detached lodge, so you're not attached to anyone else. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable, but don't expect anything luxurious. It's a good, solid base.
Inside, it's all open plan. Kitchen, dining table for four, and the sofa area are all in one room. It's straightforward. There's a TV, a dishwasher, and the bedding and towels are included.
Outside, you've got your own bit of garden with a picnic table. The park itself has a shop for basics and a kids' play area. It's a quiet park, not one of the big noisy ones.
You're about a ten minute drive from some good beaches. Porthcothan Bay is nice, and Trevone is great for rockpooling. Padstow is maybe 15 minutes away by car. You can get the famous pasties there, wander the harbour, or hire bikes for the Camel Trail. The trail is flat, good for families, and it goes through some pretty valleys you don't see from the road.
Newquay is about 20 minutes if you want more going on: surf shops, Fistral Beach, and the zoo. For a proper walk, the South West Coast Path is accessible from lots of points nearby. You're well placed for most of North Cornwall really, with St Ives and Port Isaac within a 30 minute drive.
There's parking right by the lodge. Sorry, no pets allowed.
