Tregunna Cottage

Tregunna Cottage is in Edmonton, which is a quiet spot just north of Wadebridge. It’s detached, up its own lane with fields around it. The views out of every window are of the Camel Estuary. They really are the main thing about the place.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchen is big enough for a family to be in there together. There’s a woodburner in the sitting room, which is nice in the evening. French doors open onto the patio, which has a built-in barbecue. The garden is lawn, sloping down towards the view.

The hall has some exposed stone walls and a flagstone floor. It’s an old cottage, so the doors are low in a couple of places. Mind your head.

There’s a pub that does food about three quarters of a mile down the lane. A shop is a bit further, about a mile and a quarter. You can walk or cycle from the cottage onto the Camel Trail. It’s flat and goes right into Wadebridge one way and towards Padstow the other.

Padstow is about a 15 minute drive. You can get the boat trips from there. Rick Stein’s fish and chips is there if you fancy it. Newquay is around 18 miles, so half an hour or so for the beaches and surf.

For days out, The Eden Project is about 30 minutes. Tintagel Castle is a similar drive north up the coast. There are lots of National Trust gardens and properties nearby.

In terms of what’s here: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking for a few cars. Bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs.
