Saundry's Barn is in Port Isaac, on the Roscarrock lane at the top of the village. It's a converted barn, so it's detached, just one storey, and you're up above the main streets. It's quiet.
It's good for four people, but honestly it's best suited for two. It's one open-plan bedroom space with a king-size bed and two single beds arranged in a sort of sleeping gallery above it. So it works for a family, but it's cosy. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The main thing is the view from the living area. It looks straight out over the rooftops to the sea. You get that without having to be right in the thick of the tourist foot traffic down by the harbour.
It's about a five-minute walk down the hill to the harbour and the main bit of the village. You can leave the car at the barn. The walk back up is steep, that's just Port Isaac. There's a shop and places to eat down there.
You're right on the South West Coast Path. Walk north towards Port Quin or south towards Port Gaverne. It's all there. For a proper sandy beach, you'd drive. Polzeath is about ten minutes by car, Daymer Bay a bit further.
For days out, Padstow is twenty minutes up the coast. Tintagel and Boscastle are in the other direction, about half an hour. The countryside inland is full of old mining valleys.
In terms of what's here: It's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs. There's parking for one car right outside.
