Moonraker

This is Moonraker in Port Isaac. It's our place.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything is on the ground floor, which is good if stairs are tricky. The garden is decent sized, with a lawn. There's summer house out there too. You get the view down the valley to the sea. Parking for two cars.

It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-maintained. We keep it clean and it has what you need.

Port Isaac village is a few minutes' walk down the hill. It's the fishing village you've probably seen on TV. The harbour is nice, there are a couple of pubs and places to eat. You can get a pasty and sit on the beach. The walk back up is steep, just so you know.

The coast path runs right past. A good walk is from Polzeath over to Daymer Bay. Padstow is across the estuary; you can get the ferry from Rock. The South West Coast Path website has all the routes.

Polzeath beach is about ten minutes by car, that's for surfing. There are schools there if you want to try it. For a calmer swim, the cove in Port Isaac is sandy at low tide. Golf is nearby at St Enodoc or Trevone.

Further out, you can drive to Tintagel in under half an hour. Bodmin Moor is about the same. The National Trust has a lot of the land around here.

In the cottage, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair and there are no steps to get in.

There's a shop 50 yards away for basics. The nearest pub is about 300 yards. No pets, I'm afraid.
