Kernewk Chy

This place is called Kernewk Chy. It's on a holiday park near St Minver, up near Rock and Polzeath.

It's a detached bungalow, so no one above or below you. It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms. Two have king-size beds with TVs and one has an ensuite shower. The third has two singles. There's also a family bathroom with a bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's more comfortable than basic. Everything is clean and in good order.

The living area is all one open space. There's a kitchen at one end, then a dining table, then sofas and a TV. The kitchen has what you'd need: a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. The WiFi works fine.

Outside, there's a veranda with a table and chairs and a gas barbecue. You can park right next to it.

The holiday park has a swimming pool you can use. It's not enormous, but it's good for the kids.

The location is the main thing. You're about 15 minutes in the car from some great beaches. Polzeath is good for surfing. Rock is sandier and calmer. Padstow is a short drive away, you can get the ferry over from Rock if you like. Port Isaac, where they film Doc Martin, is along the coast.

The Camel Trail is nearby if you want to hire bikes. It's a flat, traffic-free path that goes along the estuary. You can go all the way to Bodmin if you're feeling energetic.

For a day out further afield, Tintagel Castle is about half an hour's drive. The Eden Project is roughly the same.

Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed, sorry. The park is fairly quiet but it's not remote, you will see other holiday lodges around.
