Bosun's

Bosun's is a little detached cottage in Port Isaac. It's on a quiet lane behind our house. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

It's all on one floor, which is handy. There's a small patio area out the front with a BBQ. Parking is right there on site, which matters in Port Isaac.

The cottage is about a ten minute walk down to the harbour. The lane is steep in parts. The village is as you've probably seen it: narrow lanes, old buildings, a few galleries and cafes. The local fishermen still use the harbour. The pub does food and looks out over the water.

You're right on the South West Coastal Path here. You can walk east towards Polzeath or west towards Tintagel. The views are very good.

Polzeath, with its surf beach, is about a fifteen minute drive. Tintagel Castle, run by English Heritage, is about twenty minutes. Padstow is roughly twenty-five minutes by car.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, a sitting area with TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets, sorry.
