This is Sunnyside, in Trewalder. It's a very quiet little hamlet, just a couple of miles from the sea. As the name says, it faces south, so you get the sun on the front.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms, which is handy. One's a wet room on the ground floor. Good for washing off sand or if anyone has trouble with stairs. We allow one well-behaved dog.
The cottage has a four star rating. It's comfortable and well-kept. There are original slate floors, which are lovely and cool in summer. The kitchen is all handmade. The wood burner in the living room works well for cooler evenings.
There's a small enclosed garden at the front. It's sunny and secure. Good for sitting out or for the dog.
You're about a five minute drive from the coast. The nearest shop and pub are a mile and a half away in Delabole. The pub does meals. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Wadebridge or Camelford.
You're very close to the A39, so it's easy to get around. Port Isaac is about ten minutes south. Tintagel and its castle are maybe fifteen minutes north. The National Trust has a few places nearby if you're a member. For walking, the coastal path is obviously right there.
Included in the place: all the utilities, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a highchair if you need one. Parking is right outside.
