The Old Farmhouse is in Michaelstow, which is on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. It's an old granite building we finished renovating a couple of years ago. It sleeps eight people across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms upstairs.
It's a 4 Star property, which I think means it's comfortable and well-equipped without being over the top. You get the whole place, including the garden. The garden is mature and looks out over fields. It's enclosed, so it's fine for dogs. We allow up to two.
The stairs are typical for an old house. They're a bit steeper than modern ones.
Inside, it's quite spacious. There are three separate living areas. One has a woodburner. The kitchen is open plan and leads into the dining area. We've tried to make it practical for a family or a group.
For facilities, it has the usual things: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Parking is on the gravel drive at the front. There's also an electric vehicle charger if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
The location is good for getting to different parts of Cornwall. You're right on Bodmin Moor for walking. The start of the Camel Trail for cycling is about two miles away. The north coast beaches, like Trebarwith Strand, are about fifteen minutes by car. Tintagel Castle, Boscastle, and Port Isaac are all within that sort of drive too.
Padstow, Rock, and Polzeath are a little further, maybe twenty-five minutes. Heading south, you can get to the Eden Project in under an hour.
