Polmear Barn

Polmear Barn is in Tregoodwell, near Camelford. It's a detached barn conversion next to our house. We live here, so we're around if you need anything, but you've got the place and the garden to yourselves.

It sleeps up to twelve people. Six bedrooms, four bathrooms. One of those bathrooms is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well equipped. There's underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. The French doors from the living room and kitchen go out to the patio.

The stairs are fairly typical for a barn. They’re not a ladder, but they are steep in parts. There’s a stairgate at the top.

Camelford is about a mile’s walk. There’s a shop, a pub, and a few takeaways. You can get a Cornish pasty there. The local leisure centre has a swimming pool.

The north Cornwall coast is about ten minutes away by car. You’ve got Port Isaac, which is where they film Doc Martin. Padstow is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. Rock is across the estuary from Padstow. The Camel Trail for cycling starts at Wenford Bridge, which is close by.

Tintagel Castle is about fifteen minutes’ drive. The Eden Project is under half an hour. For a family day out, Camel Creek is near Wadebridge. Bodmin Moor is right there for walking.

Practical stuff: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair.
