Gumburnville is in Helstone, which is a small hamlet just outside Camelford. It's a detached cottage. The garden is at the front, which works well because it gets the sun in the morning. There's a table and chairs out there.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is upstairs with a shower and bath. The other is on the ground floor, just a toilet. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are steep, typical for a cottage, and the top bedroom is in the loft conversion so you have to mind your head up there.
There's an open fire in the living room. The kitchen has an Aga, which is great for warming the place up and slow cooking, and a separate electric oven for everything else. Slate floors, so it can feel a bit cool underfoot. There's a utility room with the washing machine.
The local pub is about a mile walk down the lane. The nearest shop is in Camelford, about two miles. Camelford has basic shops and a couple of places to eat.
You're about a twenty minute drive from the north coast. Port Isaac is the closest, which is where they film Doc Martin. Boscastle and Tintagel are also very close. Tintagel has the English Heritage site for King Arthur. Trebarwith Strand is a good sandy beach, about fifteen minutes away by car.
If you head the other way, you're straight onto Bodmin Moor. It's good walking country. Padstow is about half an hour's drive. The Camel Trail runs from there to Wadebridge and Bodmin, it's flat and good for bikes.
The facilities are mostly what you'd expect. WiFi, TV, parking on site. We provide bedding and towels. You can bring one dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
