Old Brock Cottage

Old Brock Cottage is on Bodmin Moor, near the village of St Breward. It's one of four cottages here. The views over the moor are really good, no other houses in the way.

It's a 3 Star place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, one double and one twin. The double bedroom has a few steps down into it from the hallway, just so you know. The living room and kitchen are upstairs. That's so you get the view. There's a wood burner, and we leave you some logs to start with.

The cottage is stone-built, with old beams. It's not fancy but it's solid. You have your own enclosed garden at the front with a barbecue. The whole site is five acres, with chickens and miniature pigs about. You'll see the moorland ponies from the window.

There's a footpath right from the property onto the moor. It's perfect for dogs. We take up to two. The local pub is an 11th century place, about a ten minute walk. They do food.

You're well placed for getting out. The Camel Trail for cycling is close by. Port Isaac is about twenty minutes' drive, Padstow maybe half an hour. The north coast beaches, like Polzeath, are within that sort of time too.

For facilities, you've got the basics. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is right outside. The entrance is level for wheelchair access, but the living area being upstairs means it's only the ground floor that's fully accessible.
