Game Larder Cottage
Game Larder Cottage is on our farm in Washaway, a few miles from Bodmin. It’s a detached cottage, so you’re on your own, and you look out over the yard and fields. The farm is still working, so you might see us moving sheep or tractors going past.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s been done up to a good standard, so it’s comfortable and warm. Everything’s on the ground floor and it’s adapted for wheelchair use. There are grab rails, a wet room, and the doors are wide enough.
You’ve got your own patio area with a table, chairs, and a barbecue. There’s also a games room in an outbuilding with a pool table and table tennis. Parking is right outside.
The lane outside is quiet for walking. For a proper shop or a meal, Wadebridge is about ten minutes by car. Padstow is maybe twenty minutes. Polzeath beach is a similar drive, good for surfing. The National Trust Cornwall site has good ideas for coastal walks. Port Isaac, Tintagel, and Boscastle are all within half an hour.
Included in the cottage: all bedding and towels, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s an electric vehicle charger by the parking space.
