Rosemary Cottage is in Withielgoose, which is about halfway between Bodmin town and Wadebridge. It's an end-terrace barn conversion, set around a courtyard with a few other holiday lets. It's quiet out here.
The place sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, plus an old Atari games console if you fancy that. The WiFi is decent.
The garden at the back is fully enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can have up to three. There's a deck and the lawn slopes a bit. We leave a box of beach gear there for guests to use, things like bodyboards and buckets.
You're about a 25-minute drive from the north coast and the south coast. Padstow's that way, Port Isaac is up that way. Newquay is further down for surfing. The National Trust Cornwall page is useful for beaches and houses. Lanhydrock House is close by. The Eden Project is about 25 minutes away by car.
For walks, Bodmin Moor is right there. Cyclists might like Cardinham Woods or the Old Hill Bike Park.
There's a shop and a pub about four miles away in the village. You get a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot if you need it, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
