Orchid
Orchid is one of the chalets on the Woodland Retreat resort just outside Wadebridge, at Burlawn. It's a modern single-storey lodge, so all on one level, which is handy. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main living area is open plan, with patio doors out to a private terrace. There's a wall-mounted electric fire for cooler evenings. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a sauna and a double shower cubicle. That bathroom also has a small balcony with a table and chairs.
Being on the resort, you get to use the shared facilities. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, tennis courts, and a playground. You can walk to them from the chalet.
For the beach, you'll need to drive. It's about half an hour to Padstow, Watergate Bay, or Newquay's beaches like Tolcarne. Wadebridge itself is only a few minutes away for shops and a few pubs.
The Camel Trail is very close if you like cycling or walking. You can hire bikes in Wadebridge. For a good day out, the National Trust's Trerice is about twenty minutes away. The Eden Project is within half an hour.
Facilities in the chalet include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. There's a TV. No pets allowed, sorry.
