Beech Lodge is one of the lodges at Retallack Resort, near Rosenannon. It's a detached lodge, sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating.
The lodge was refurbished a few years ago. It's clean and comfortable. There are two decked balconies that look out over the fields. You can eat outside if the weather's good.
Being at the resort means you can use the facilities. There's an outdoor swimming pool, which is shared. There's also a wave machine for surfing, but you have to book and pay for that separately. They have a pitch and putt course and a bar and restaurant on site.
The location is about halfway between Padstow and Newquay. Padstow is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a harbour town, good for boat trips and food. Newquay is about twenty minutes the other way. That's where the main surf beaches are, like Fistral.
There are plenty of beaches within a half hour drive. Holywell Bay and Watergate Bay are good ones. For walking, the South West Coast Path is easily accessible from lots of points along the coast.
If you're planning days out, The Eden Project is about half an hour's drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a bit further, maybe forty minutes. For National Trust places, Trerice is close to Newquay, and you've got places like Lanhydrock a bit deeper into Cornwall.
Facilities in the lodge: it's got WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. There's parking right outside. It accepts pets, up to four dogs. They provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
