Eagle Owl Lodge is in Talskiddy, Cornwall. That's inland halfway between Padstow and Newquay. It's a detached wooden lodge on its own bit of land.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means it's modern and well-equipped. One pet is allowed.
Outside, there's a decked area with a private hot tub. There are also sun loungers and chairs. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a woodburner for colder evenings. It has the usual things: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. We provide a travel cot and highchair.
The Retallack Resort is directly opposite the road. You can pay to use their spa and activities like the surf simulator. They have a bird of prey centre on site, and you can get discounted entry if you're staying at the lodge.
For getting around, you've got a shop about two miles away. The nearest pub is a quarter of a mile, and it does food.
You're about ten minutes drive from the coast. Padstow is one way. It's got the harbour, shops, and Rick Stein's places. You can get the ferry over to Rock from there.
Newquay is the other way, about the same drive. That's for surfing and beaches like Watergate Bay. Porth and Lusty Glaze are good family beaches.
If you want to explore further, Truro, Port Isaac, and St Ives are all within an hour's drive. There are several good golf courses nearby, including Trevose.
