Quince Cottage is in Withielgoose, which is just outside a small village called Withiel. It's a single level barn conversion, so all the rooms are on one floor. That's good if stairs are a problem.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, so no big queues in the morning. One bedroom has an ensuite shower. We've had it rated as 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well equipped.
The living space is big, with a decent sized dining table. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. Outside, there's a private courtyard with a barbecue and table for you. There's also a communal garden at the front of the property. Parking is on site.
You can bring one dog. We include all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a cot and highchair if you need them.
The location is quiet and rural. You're about five miles between Bodmin and Wadebridge. Bodmin Moor is right on your doorstep for walking. The north coast is about a 15 minute drive. You've got Padstow, Polzeath, and Newquay all within that range. Newquay is where the main surfing beaches are. Port Isaac, which you might know from the TV, is also about 15 miles.
Wadebridge is on the Camel Trail, which is a great traffic-free path for walking or cycling to Padstow. From Padstow you can get a ferry over to Rock. The Eden Project is about a 20 minute drive south.
