Chapel Barn is in Dunmere, near Bodmin. It's a converted threshing barn, so it's a big stone building. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, which is useful.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner. The main room is open plan.
The big thing is the location. The Camel Trail runs right past the gate. It's a flat, traffic-free path, good for walking or cycling. You can walk to the local pub from here. The river Camel is at the bottom of the garden. There's a private bit of riverbank you can use. It's a wildlife site, so it's left natural. You might see kingfishers or herons.
Wadebridge is a couple of miles up the trail. It's a proper town with shops and bike hire. Padstow is about seven miles the other way, along the estuary. That's where you get the harbour and the seafood restaurants.
Bodmin Moor is about ten minutes drive. It's good for a walk. Lanhydrock House is nearby if you fancy a grand day out. The Eden Project is about twenty minutes by car.
For the coast, you've got choices. The north coast, like Polzeath or Port Isaac, is about twenty-five minutes. The south coast, like Fowey, is roughly the same. They're very different.
Facilities: it's got the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking on site. The garden is enclosed. You can bring one dog. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
