The Coach House is in Bodmin, Cornwall. It's a single-storey cottage converted from an old stable block. It sleeps two, so it's for couples or someone travelling alone. We have a few cottages around a shared courtyard. Chickens wander about there.
The inside is open plan. There's a kitchen area, a sitting area with a wood burning stove, and the bedroom is at one end. It's got a good shower room. Everything's clean and works well. It’s a 5 Star place, which means it's comfortable and has all the basics covered.
You can walk to the local pub from here, it's about half a mile. There's a shop and restaurant a bit further on. A short walk down the lane takes you to the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway station. You can catch the train into Bodmin town from there. Bodmin has a jail you can tour, plus shops and pubs.
The Camel Trail is also within walking distance. It's a flat, old railway line that's now for walking and cycling. It follows the river estuary. You can walk to the Camel Valley Vineyard from the cottage to try their wine.
For a day out, Lanhydrock House is close by. It's a National Trust property with big gardens. You can walk to it from Bodmin Parkway station. National Trust Lanhydrock.
You're about half an hour's drive from a lot of the north coast. Places like Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac, and Padstow. The Eden Project is about 20 minutes south. Bodmin Moor is right there if you want proper walking, up around Rough Tor and Brown Willy.
Facilities: there's parking outside the cottage. It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's bike storage if you bring cycles.
