The Old Chapel

The Old Chapel is in Washaway, which is a few miles outside Wadebridge. It used to be a chapel. It's detached and sits on about 15 acres of its own land, mostly orchard and woodland. There's a little stream running through it.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're the original chapel stairs, so they're steep and narrow. Just take them slow.

You get the garden to yourselves. There's a sitting area out there and a BBQ. The view is over trees and fields, no other houses really. It's quiet.

The Camel Trail is right there, about a 200 yard walk from the gate. You can cycle or walk to Padstow one way or toward Bodmin Moor the other. We have a bike store for it.

The coast is about 20 minutes by car. Wadebridge is closer for shops and places to eat. There's a pub a couple of miles away.

For things to do, the trail is the big one here. There's fishing and riding nearby if you arrange it. For a day trip, Trelissick or Lanhydrock are both within half an hour. The north coast beaches like Polzeath or Daymer Bay are about that drive too.

Facilities wise: there's a wood burner, WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We have a highchair. There's an electric vehicle charger. No pets, sorry.
