River View

River View is in Wadebridge, overlooking the Camel estuary. It's a terraced house. The big thing to know is it's split over four levels, so there are quite a few internal stairs. If you have trouble with steps, it's probably not the best fit.

The house sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The decoration is a bit nautical.

The main bedroom and the living room have a good view down to the river and the old bridge. You can watch the boats from there.

Wadebridge itself is handy. You've got shops, cafes, and a few pubs right on the doorstep. The town is basically the middle of the Camel Trail, which is a flat path along the old railway line. You can walk or bike to Padstow one way or towards Bodmin the other. It's very popular for that.

Padstow is about a 20-minute drive, or you can cycle there easily on the Trail. It's busy, but you've got the Rick Stein shops and restaurants, the harbour, and boat trips. The ferry from Padstow over to Rock runs in the season.

The north coast beaches are within half an hour. Polzeath is good for surfing, Daymer Bay is sandy and sheltered, and Port Isaac is that fishing village you've probably seen on TV. Newquay is about 30 minutes away if you want a bigger town with more beaches.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a small, enclosed patio area at the back with a barbecue. There's bike storage under the stairs. Parking is on the street outside; we've never had an issue finding a space.
