The Yellow House is in Padstow, just off the main street towards the harbour. It's a fairly narrow three-storey house, painted yellow obviously. You can walk to everything in town in about five minutes.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms but one is very small with bunk beds, so it's really for kids. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and works fine but don't expect luxury. The stairs are a bit steep and winding. That's normal for these old houses.
You've got a small walled patio out the back with a table. It gets the sun in the afternoon. Parking is on the street right outside, which is a big help in Padstow.
From the house, you turn left for the shops and Rick Stein's places, or right for the harbour and the beach. The sands are good for kids. For surf, you drive to Harlyn or Constantine, about three miles.
The Camel Trail starts nearby. You can hire bikes in town and cycle to Wadebridge along the old railway line. It's flat.
If you want to drive out, Port Isaac is about twenty minutes. Tintagel and Boscastle are maybe forty minutes. The Eden Project is under an hour. Newquay is half an hour for more surf.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding is provided. There's no dishwasher. No pets allowed.
