It's a fairly new house, built maybe twenty years ago. Number 6 Jubilee Close, in St Merryn. The village is inland a bit, so you're about a mile and a half from the nearest beach. It's quiet. You've got neighbours either side but they're sound.
The house sleeps seven in four bedrooms. One is a bunk room, good for kids. Two bathrooms upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and everything works. It feels quite spacious inside.
The garden is fenced and private. There's a patio with a table and chairs. Good spot for a coffee in the morning.
St Merryn has a small shop and a couple of pubs. The Cornish Arms in Trevone is the Rick Stein one, about a ten minute drive. They do a good Sunday lunch.
The big thing here is the beaches. They call it 'Seven Bays for Seven Days'. Harlyn Bay is the closest, nice for families and learning to surf. Constantine Bay and Treyarnon are a bit further, good for bodyboarding. Trevone is good too. They're all within a ten to fifteen minute drive.
Padstow is four miles away. You can drive in, but parking gets tight in summer. It's got the harbour, shops, and the famous seafood places. You can get the ferry from there over to Rock.
Newquay is about twenty-five minutes in the car if you want the bigger town, and Truro is maybe forty minutes for a proper shopping trip.
Inside, there’s a washing machine and a dishwasher. Wi-Fi works fine. Parking is on the drive for two cars. We provide a cot, highchair, and there's a stairgate at the bottom of the stairs.
