Comehither

This is Comehither, in Polzeath. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s got the best view. You can see the whole beach from the conservatory or the kitchen, and there's a raised bit of lawn out front with a picnic table. You just sit and watch.

It sleeps six, across three bedrooms, with one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, but honestly, it’s basic and comfy. The main thing is the view and the position. We accept one dog.

The surf at Polzeath is good, you can rent kit on the beach. The village is a five minute walk downhill. It’s got shops, cafés, and a few pubs. For food, most people drive the short way to Port Isaac or get the ferry over to Padstow.

There are walks straight from the door, but be careful. The cliffs at Pentire Head are big. Good walking, but not for a daft dog.

Facilities: it has parking for one car on the drive, a washing machine, bedding is included, and there’s Wi-Fi. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them.

If you’re planning, these are useful: National Trust Cornwall and the South West Coast Path.
