Stable Barn Apartment
Stable Barn Apartment is in St Breward. It's a converted barn on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The building is next to a riding stables, so you'll see and hear horses. It's a quiet spot.
It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and in good order, it's not just new.
The main room faces southeast. It's open plan with the kitchen, living area, and doors out to a private deck. The view from there is across fields towards the moor. It's a good spot for a coffee in the morning.
You can walk straight out onto the moor from the property. The terrain is rough in places, with tors and valleys. It's proper walking country. If you ride, the stables next door can sometimes arrange hacking.
The nearest shop and pub are in St Breward village, about a ten-minute walk. It's a typical Cornish village. For a bigger supermarket, you'd drive to Wadebridge, which is about six miles.
The coast is roughly half an hour's drive. Padstow and Polzeath are popular. The Camel Trail for cycling is in Wadebridge. If you want to explore the moor properly, the Bodmin Moor website has maps. For local heritage sites, English Heritage and the National Trust Cornwall pages are useful.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's also storage for bikes.
