Jubilee Cottage
Jubilee Cottage is in St Breward, right on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It’s a barn conversion we did a few years ago. Sleeps six. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy.
The main room is open plan, kitchen, lounge and dining all together. It’s a good size. Underfloor heating, so it’s warm. We put in solar panels to keep the running costs down.
Two of the bedrooms look out over a sand school from the stables next door. The other double bedroom has its own door straight out to the parking area. It’s useful if you’ve got a dog or muddy boots.
It’s next to Hallagenna riding stables. If you ride, you can bring your own horse. The hacking onto the moor is excellent. Even if you don’t, you’ll see horses about.
Facilities wise, you’ve got what you’d expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside. The garden is yours to use. We can take up to two dogs.
For walking, you step straight out onto Bodmin Moor. It’s proper open country. Rough Tor and Brown Willy are up there. The Camel Trail for cycling is about ten minutes away by car. Padstow and the north coast beaches are maybe twenty-five minutes’ drive.
