Jubilee Cottage is in St Breward right on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's a converted stone barn, so the walls are thick and it stays cool in summer. We've just had it refurbished. It's very low energy, with underfloor heating and solar panels.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is useful. Two rooms look out over the sand school from the livery yard next door. The third has its own door out to the parking area.
The main living space is all one big open room: kitchen, lounge, dining. It's been done up simply and has everything you'd need. TV, wifi, dishwasher, washing machine. All bedding and towels are included.
It's next to Hallagenna riding stables. If you ride, you can bring your own horse. The hacking onto the moor from here is excellent. If you don't, you'll just see horses coming and going. It's a proper working yard.
For walks, you can step straight out onto Bodmin Moor. It's bleak and beautiful up there. National Trust Bodmin Moor has good information on tracks and tors. The Camel Trail for cycling is about a 15 minute drive away in Wadebridge.
Port Isaac is roughly 30 minutes by car if you want the coast. Tintagel is a similar distance. Newquay and Padstow are both within about 40 minutes.
There is parking right outside, a garden, and space to store bikes. No pets allowed. We have a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you're coming with a bigger group, we also have Trippet Cottage and Stable Barn Apartment next door. You can book them all together.
