This is Cross Cottage. It's in St Breward, which is up on Bodmin Moor, so you're right in the middle of it. It's a granite barn, about two hundred years old, detached, part of a small courtyard with a couple of other cottages and our house.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has character, with slate floors and beams. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
The kitchen is open plan. It's got a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and you can charge an electric vehicle if you need to.
You can bring up to three dogs. We do ask that they stay downstairs.
The cottage is at the end of a private lane. You look out over fields. It's quiet, but you can walk to the village shop and the pub in about five minutes. The pub does food.
You're on the edge of Bodmin Moor here. You can walk straight out onto it. For the coast, Trebarwith Strand is about twenty minutes by car. Padstow, Port Isaac, Polzeath, those sorts of places, are within half an hour or so.
If you want a day out, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about forty minutes. Lanhydrock, that big National Trust house, is a bit closer.
