Rosewater Lodge

Rosewater Lodge is a detached timber lodge. It's on the edge of St Teath, which is a quiet little village. You honestly don't come here for the village itself, but it's handy to have a shop and a pub a short walk away.

It's small, just right for two people, though it does have two bedrooms. The second one is quite compact, same size bed as the main one. Good if you're a couple who prefers separate rooms, or if you're friends.

The main thing is the deck out the front. It gets the morning sun and looks out over fields. It's fully enclosed, which is one reason we accept a dog. There's a basic BBQ out there too. Inside is open plan. It's clean, modern enough, and has everything you'd need. Proper fitted kitchen with a dishwasher. It’s a solid 4 Star place.

Location wise, it's a good base. You're a few miles inland, so you're not right on top of the crowds. Port Isaac, where they filmed Doc Martin, is about a ten minute drive. Tintagel and Boscastle are maybe fifteen minutes the other way. Padstow is twenty-five minutes, depending on traffic. The nearest proper beach is probably about ten minutes by car.

For a proper day trip, the South West Coast Path is easy to get to. The National Trust has quite a few sites around here. If you like walking without the car, there are public footpaths directly from the lodge into the countryside.

Facilities: parking right outside, Wi-Fi, washing machine, towels included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
