This place is called Downhouse. It's a pair of old stone cottages in Trewarmett, Cornwall. Yours is the one on the right.
It was built in the 1600s, then someone added on a bit in Victorian times. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's just the one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating now, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The main thing is the view. You get a big garden and a sitting area out the front, and you can see the sea from there. It's really a view. Inside, there's a fireplace with an old clome oven in it. It doesn't work, but it's an interesting feature.
There's a pub and a shop about a mile away in the village. The coast path is on the doorstep, so you can walk straight out from the cottage. The nearest beach is about a mile's walk.
For things to do, Tintagel is a ten minute drive. They've got the castle there linked to King Arthur. Boscastle and its harbour is about fifteen minutes. Port Isaac, where they filmed Doc Martin, is twenty minutes. Polzeath for surfing is maybe twenty-five minutes, and you can get the ferry from Rock over to Padstow in about half an hour.
The water here is from a private spring. It's tested every year and tastes fine, but some people buy bottled water just out of habit. The stairs are fine, typical cottage stairs.
Everything you'd expect is here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to three dogs. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
