This is Kilcummer Stables. It's just outside Trewarmett, which is up above Tintagel on the north Cornwall coast. It's a detached bungalow, a converted stable. Sleeps three, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, but not luxury.
The thing about it is the view. You get a proper sea view from the main windows, looking out over the village towards the ocean. There's a small fenced garden at the front with a bench to sit on. Out the back there's a patio area too.
It's a single-storey place, so everything's on the ground floor. That might suit someone who doesn't want stairs. You can park right there.
Tintagel village centre is about a mile away. That's where the shop and a few restaurants are. There's a local pub within a mile's walk as well. The big draw there is Tintagel Castle, run by English Heritage. It's the legendary site of King Arthur's castle. The beach is about a mile down the hill too, a long sandy one.
If you walk down from the castle, you can get to Merlin's Cave at low tide. There are some good local walks. St Nectan's Glen is a wooded valley with a waterfall. Rocky Valley has some ancient carvings on the rock face.
In the cottage you've got a shower, TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can have up to two dogs. There's a BBQ outside.
For a day out, you're well placed for that whole stretch of coast. Port Isaac is about 20 minutes south. Boscastle is just a few minutes north. Bodmin Moor is about half an hour's drive inland.
