Trevena is a modern house on a small development just off the main street in Tintagel. It's detached, so no one attached to you.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms. There's one family bathroom upstairs, and a separate downstairs WC off the hallway which is useful. The stairs are normal.
The main thing outside is the garden. It's enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog. There's a lawn and a large decking area with furniture and a BBQ. It faces south and gets the sun, looking over a stream with trees.
Inside, the lounge has patio doors out to the deck. The kitchen has what you'd expect: a dishwasher, washing machine, oven. There's a coffee machine if that's your thing.
You're right in Tintagel village. Shops, pasty shops, pubs, all a couple of minutes' walk. The main draw is Tintagel Castle. It's the English Heritage site, steeped in the Arthurian legend. The views are spectacular. You can walk to it from the property.
For beaches, Trebarwith Strand is about ten minutes by car. It's good for surf. Bossiney and the Castle Beach are closer. The coastal path runs right behind the house, so you can walk to lots of coves. The National Trust looks after much of the coast here.
Within about half an hour you've got Boscastle, which is a lovely harbour. Crackington Haven is good for a dramatic coast. Port Isaac is that fishing village from the TV, about twenty-five minutes south. Padstow is a bit further, maybe thirty-five minutes. Bude is to the north, about twenty minutes.
Facilities are listed. They're accurate. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger. No pets, sorry. It's got a 4 Star rating.
If you're planning walks or days out, the Cornwall National Landscape site is good for maps.
