Krowji Klys

This is Krowji Klys. It's in Slaughterbridge, Cornwall. A detached place, just for two. It’s on a working farm but off to the side, so it’s quiet. You can see the sea from the garden.

It’s a 4 Star place. It’s unique, basically a wooden cabin built into a slope. Looks a bit like a hobbit house from the outside. Inside, it’s one big room downstairs with the living space and a small kitchen. The utensils and things you need are there. The bathroom’s on this floor too, with a shower.

The bed is up on a mezzanine floor. You get up there by a small spiral staircase made of wood. It has branches for handrails. It’s steep, like a ship’s ladder. Not great if you don’t like steps or have bad knees.

Outside is your own garden bit with a patio. It’s a good spot. At night, with no big lights around, you can see the stars very clearly.

You’re about three miles from the coast. Tintagel and Boscastle are a short drive away. Tintagel has the castle ruins and the Arthurian legend stuff. Boscastle is a nice harbour village. Both are run by the National Trust, so their websites are good for visiting information.

Bude is under half an hour’s drive north. Good for surfing. They have that sea pool built into the rocks. The Southwest Coastal Path runs right past there if you want a walk.

Inland, you’ve got Bodmin Moor about twenty minutes away. Good for hiking if you like tors and open space. The town of Bodmin has the heritage railway and the old jail.

The farm has horses. You can sometimes see them from the property. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There’s parking right there. WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are all included.
