Chy An Dour is a detached lodge in Davidstow, Cornwall. It's in a quiet spot called Inny Vale. The river runs past the bottom of the garden.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor which is handy. The upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings and beams. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so watch your head.
You've got a garden at the front and back. There's seating out there. It's enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog. You can bring one dog.
Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen, dining area, living area. The doors from the living room open out. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.
You can walk from the door. The river might have otters or kingfishers if you're quiet.

The coast is about fifteen minutes away. Boscastle and Tintagel are both within eight miles. Tintagel Castle is run by English Heritage. Bude is to the north, Padstow is to the south. You can get to either in under half an hour.
For a bike ride, the Camel Trail starts in Wadebridge. You can hire bikes there. It follows an old railway line.
