Kettle's On
This is Kettle's On. It's a detached barn conversion in Tresmeer, Cornwall. Single storey, so everything's on the ground floor. That makes it pretty straightforward. It's got its own little garden at the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. That's useful. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable.
The place is part of a small group of barns around a farmyard. There's a shared garden area with a big above-ground swimming pool, which is up from May to September. There's also a games field for kids to run about on. It's a working farm, so if you come in early spring you might see lambs.
Inside, it's open plan. There's underfloor heating, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. The owners have left some books and games. The furniture is oak.
You're out in the country here. The village has a church. There's a pub about four miles away. Launceston is six miles for shops. The north coast is about ten miles, so you can get to places like Boscastle, Tintagel, or Port Isaac in under half an hour. For a big day out, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a 30 minute drive.
